Latvia Gambling Revenue Down 26 Percent

Latvia gambling revenue reported a decline of 26 percent for the first half of the year. So it was according to a Ministry of Finance report. Also, the gambling industry collected €7 million in the first six months of 2021. It was almost €16 million less than the estimated amount.

Seventeen merchants control gambling in Latvia. According to sportsbook pay per head reports, ten of them operate gaming halls and casinos. Around 3,000 employees work in the industry. However, the pandemic impacted it, which resulted in lower revenue.

Bookie PPH experts looked at the results of the first half and saw that traditional gambling facilities were open only for 16 days. That’s why there was no surprise that the revenue dropped during the period.
