A source familiar with the arrangement told The Associated Press on Friday that the Los Angeles Lakers have extended forward Jarred Vanderbilt's contract for four years at $48 million.
Since the Lakers haven't officially disclosed the long-term agreement with their defensive specialist, the source talked to the AP on the condition of anonymity. There is a player option for the fourth year of the deal.
After acquiring Vanderbilt from the Utah Jazz in February, the Los Angeles Lakers used him extensively in their deep postseason run that took them to the Western Conference finals.
